adobe flash player 9 freewareVista

Hey everyone!

I have a brand new HPG500 laptop, bought a few days ago, preloaded with Vista. Everything is running fine, but it was also loaded with alot of programs, and I would like to know which ones are necessary or important for me to keep.

My add/remove list is somewhat populated and these are the programs listed in it that I am unsure about.

Adobe Flash Player 9 ActiveX
Adobe Reader 7.0.5
Adobe Shockwave Player
HP Customer Experience Enhancements
HP DVD Play 3.0
HP East Setup - Core
HP Easy Setup - Frontend
HP Quick Launch Buttons 6.10 C1
HP Update
Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator Driver
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment 6
LiveUpdate 3.2 (Symantec Corporation)
LiveUpdate Notice (Symantec Corporation)
Norton Internet Security (Symantec Corporation)
PC Connectivity Solution
Roxio Creator Audio
Roxio Creator Basic v9
Roxio Creator Copy
Roxio Creator Data
Roxio Creator Eadobe flash player 9 freewareasyArchive
Roxio Creator Tools
Roxio MyDVD Basic v9
Windows Live Sign-in Assistant

I have AVG and Ad-Aware running so I don't know if I have any need for Norton. I also have had problems with Roxio, and can't seem to burn a CD for the life of me, so I have a freeware called DeepBurner which does the job perfectly, but I am still hesitant to delete Roxio as I don't know if I will need it or not.

I will be greatful for any help I get.

Thanks!
Almost every thing you listed is needed, just something you need to work on them.

Update Adobe Reader 7.0.5 to the latest. Adobe Reader 8.
Update Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator Driver to the latest, if you haven't did it.

Delete away Roxio, if it is not the latest version, because it is not much compatible with Vista. Norton too, since you have the AVG and Ad-Aware already. Remain your DeepBurner or if you find any other thadobe flash player 9 freewareat is better than it, just switch it. (Vista has burning CD feature too).

Remember run the Windows Update and install those updates.

Good luck to your laptop.
You are welcome, thx for choosing my answer, hope it helps.

You probably don't need Windos Live Sign-in Assistant.

Nortion internet security is pretty good. I would definitely keep that because it will filter viruses which Ad-Aware doesn't really do. Also, when the free trial for Norton runs out, I'd consider paying for the full service (a yealy service). I've recently switched to McAfee and am sorry I didn't stick with Norton.

Some versions of Roxio tend to be buggy and if you can't use it, I'd say get rid of it as it could also cause some problems with your DVD player.
