I heard its ok to download music and tv shows as long as you dont share them with others. is this true??
i dont know how to turn it "off", but when i used to use limewire, i just change my upload folder to an empty folder (so you dont have anything in it to share...)
to do this just go on tools, options, uploads, and it should say somewhere, which folder you want to share. just make a new folder, with nothing in it, and select it.
ps.: instead of using limewire, use Any Video Converter. you dont have to pay for it, its free forever, and you can download music from youtube (not necessarily videos, you climewire 5.1.2an download it as MP3 or whatever format you want) plus, it does it more quickly, and easy to use. its what i use now.
Lime wire is a horrible program which you should not trust. It will harm your computer and give you viruses. You may want to try using audio extractors that basically extract the audio from a file online that you choose to your computer. If you get a youtube grabber, which is an application that takes the link of the youtube video/song and downloads it to an FLV file. When it turns into an FLV and you want to put it into your i-tunes library, your going to need an FLV extractor which takes the audilimewire 5.1.2o out of the video and and extracts it into an audio file which then is put into your downloads folder. Then you can drag and drop it into the i-tunes library. Good luck!
No, because you got them from somebody who "shared them" with you, so you stole them to begin with. As for turning off your share folder, you can't. You must share one folder in order for the program to work. There doesn't have to be anything in the folder however.
