You may be familiar with the likes of yahoo sports' live updates service where minute by minute text updates of big football games is given.
The same service uses a graphical representation/diagram of the pitch with the player names in their strategic positions (fixed).
I was wondering , would it be legal if yahoo or other providers of these services were to use a bit more detail in their representation of the gampictures cartoon football playerse.
for example move the numbered shirts around the picture to represent the real-time situation at the game, put in a picture of a ball to represent the balls position, and update the service second by second so the internet viewer would be seeing almost a cartoon version of the real match - a little on screen subuteo version?
they wouldnt be breaking any broadcast laws right?
stick a radio on in the backgropictures cartoon football playersund and its good as a live view of the subscription game........... well almost.
and i have satellite and pay per view before the cheapo jokes start.
I see where you're coming from. I don't think it would work though. The Premier League would somehow put a stop to it. Also it'd be boring. Only 3 ways to watch footy really. Live, tv and radio. Obviously radio is not watching but you get my drift.
